Losing Weight

losing weightGetting in shape and losing weight is a really simple process, however because the world we live in has become fast and furious, and because most of our time is spent working and tending to household chores there is very little time left over for the average person to work out and eat healthy home prepared meals which is the best method of losing weight naturally.

Losing Weight-Losing Weight is Simple

Even though the reality of the workings of the human body makes losing weight a simple basic procedure the facts of life of modern day living make it really difficult for the average person to use and treat their body as it was meant to be used and treated.

The human body was designed for running; there is no animal on the planet that can outrun a human over long distances. This is one of the reasons we as humans have survived and come to be top of the food chain.

The human body was designed to eat almost anything, unlike other species whose diets where restricted to certain foods the human body will accept almost every food source.

However when creation designed the human body to eat anything available fast foods and processed foods weren’t on the menu. So we ate any natural healthy fresh food that was available and we walked and/or ran everywhere we went.

Losing Weight-Losing Weight is Hard

The reason that losing weight is so difficult is because for one reason or another we have fallen into a way of living that is not natural for the bodies that we must live in/with.

The human body was designed to walk and run, we drive everywhere, then we sit down at computer screens for 8 hours and when we finally get home after an hour commute we are so wiped out the all we can do is eat our processed food dinner and watch TV till its time for bed.

Remember that if you are not working the body then you do not need the large meals that we in America tend to view as normal. In some countries an American portion would be enough to feed a family of four. Just look at a prime rib dinner and then ask yourself how can anyone eat this at one sitting and even think about losing weight.

Losing Weight is hard because your lifestyle of choice requires that you don not use your body and that you eat processed foods in large quantities.

Losing Weight-How to Lose Weight

This simple plan will guarantee that you lose weight and get in shape in the process:

  • Weigh yourself on a weighing scale that works. If you live near a large shopping mall most GNC stores have a decent scales that will give you a print out with your weight on it. You can weight in weekly or monthly and chart your progress with your print outs.
  • Calculate your desired weight by assessing your body size and height. Then decide how much weight you want to lose.
  • For the first month don’t eat anything that you do not know the ingredients of. This will usually mean that you will not eat out and in most cases that you will prepare all your own food, including sandwiches to bring to work.
  • Never let yourself be caught in a hunger panic without something to eat which you know is healthy. This means that you must prepare your food consumption for the day in advance.
  • Do not leave home without knowing what you will be eating and when and if you need it bring it with you.
  • Some people might thing this is going overboard but it works and there is no surer way to kill of a weight loss plan than to be caught in a hunger panic with nothing healthy to eat. The next thing that passes you lips will be the next piece of available food regardless of its effects on your losing weight plan.
  • Eat chicken breast, white fish and white pork for protein
  • Eat any fresh vegetable and fruit you can find
  • Eat potatoes rice and pasta sparingly. Because these foods are our main energy source the quantity we eat of these carbohydrates should be increased as our exercise routine increases. If you run more then eat more carbs. Losing weight should mean losing fat and not muscle.
  • For the first few months do not eat any chocolate, cookies, chips or any of the good stuff.
  • For desert or a treat eat 100 cal popcorn, sugarless jello, fiber one yogurts
  • Another good treat to be eaten in small portions is raisins and almonds. Besides being delicious and nutritious just having a bad with you during the day will help you over the hard hours when you are hitting your personal wall.
  • Lastly find a way to work out and by working out I mean getting the heart rate up. If you are severely overweight then do this under the supervision of a medical professional.
  • Just get moving, walk the dog, walk the kids, walk the iPod, then gradually run, do power yoga, cross country machine anything that is available. Don’t fall into the rut of saying that you would love to work out but you can’t afford the gym. If you live in a building walk up and down the stairs 10 times, walk the mall if its too cold or too hot to walk on the streets.

The plan is to get moving and eat healthy fresh nutritious foods.

Losing Weight-The Simple Guide

The simple guide to losing weight is:

  • Get moving, walk, run, climb stairs, do whatever you can that will get your heart rate up.
  • Eat fresh healthy foods. A simple rule of thumb is that if it comes in a cardboard pack you should avoid it.
  • Eat small portions and read every label for fat content and calorific value. Remember that a fast food burger and a coolatta will be more than your calorie allowance for a day.
  • It really is simple to lose weight; it is the process of losing weight that we find so hard.
